FROM THE DIRECTOR

When God first established Caring Ministries in 1992, no one knew then all that God
had planned or the direction that He would lead. Through the years, God has blessed
and provided in ways we could have never imagined. He has gone before us, preparing
the way for each step. (Many of which seemed like giant steps at the time!) In 1992, we
picked up and distributed approximately 60,000 lbs of food. But in 2009, God provided
over 3.9 million lbs of food for people in need. We have truly seen God supply in ways
that we could never have envisioned!

As the donations have increased so have the opportunities for Food Ministry Programs in and around
Tucson, as well as along the Arizona/Mexico border. Over and over, when it “appeared” that we didn’t
have enough food to share with another church or ministry, God has faithfully provided not only the
food that was needed, but the trucks and volunteers as well!

God is now making food available for more than 50 different churches, missions, and ministries through
Caring Ministries. Over 240,000 people were not only given food in 2009, but the message of Jesus and
His love was also shared with them. We praise God that last year, 11,002 people gave their hearts to
Jesus and 713 were baptized through our ministry partners!

Please pray that God will continue to guide us in His wisdom & truth and that He will be honored
and glorified through Caring Ministries, as well as, all the ministries with whom we work. This past
year has been very difficult economically for all of us, but through it all God has been trustworthy.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. They mean more to us than you could ever know.

“We always give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you. For we
have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all God’s people.
The gospel keeps bringing blessings and is spreading throughout the world, just as it has among
you ever since the day you first heard about the grace of God and came to know it as it really is.”
Colossians 1:3-4, 6 (GNB)
