PRESENT
Ross Hanna is the Director of the orphanage, Miguel & Maggie Ramos are the Resident Directors.
Contributions and sponsorship donations are sent to Caring Ministries, then, operating money is sent to Maggie Ramos for utility
bills, workers, and medical expenses.
The entire orphanage is operated by volunteer donations and sponsors of the children. This is
our life line and the only way the orphanage can survive.
Caring Ministries is recognized as an "Association" (known as a corporation in the US) in Mexico.
This has made it easier to conduct business in Mexico. This also allows Maggie Ramos to have "Power of Attorney" to do legal
business in Mexico for the orphanage as an association.

PAST
Casa Hogar Emmanuel Orphanage was started by Gabriel & Carmen Gandarilla in 1989. Ross Hanna
became involved in September of 1990 and began to search for contributions and supporters. A kitchen, dinging room,
laundry room, food room and a dormitory for boys & girls were built in the fall and winter of 1990-1991.
In 1992 Caring Ministries, Inc. was established to help people in need of food, clothing, and furniture
in Tucson and along the AZ/Mexico border.
In 1993, due to health & personal reasons, Gabriel & Carmen Gandarilla had to turn the operation
of the orphanage over to their daughter and son-in-law, Maggie & Miguel Ramos.
The orphanage was then purchased by Caring Ministries in 1997 with the help of individuals and Gil
Gillenwater, President of Rancho Feliz Charitable Foundation in Scottsdale, AZ.

FUTURE
It is our mission to continue to care for these otherwise forgotten ones for as long as we have the
resources to do so. Through the on-going ministry programs of Caring Ministries in Tucson, we are able to take food
and supplies to the orphanage once a week. All funding for the orphanage is provided by individual contributions and
our sponsors.
We began the sponsorship program in the fall of 1999 to help us better care for our children.
$50.00 a month helps provide for the school supplies & uniforms that are needed, medical expenses (this must be paid for
in advance before medical treatment can be given), food, and other personal needs of the child.
We have recently built a new chapel/school at the orphanage, added a baseball/soccer field, remodeled
the dining room & girls dorm, and added two porches.
